Nice to hear some very good news.

It would have been a shame if you would have given up on Mahindra without a fight. HOWEVER, I would be curious to see how long Mahindra & Jock continue to work together. I wonder if Mahindra will straighten him out, or if they will dump him?

Does Harvey have an e-mail address? I have a question or two....

I have found this Mahindra Experience to be an all-consuming affair and am ready to get on with my life.
For you who want to know what is going to happen to Monsieur Jock, I can only relate what I was told by one of his employees, "That if he didn't start treating his customers better, he would lose Mahindra." I don't know if the mighty simitar of Lord Trotter is about to unleashed upon the neck of the infidel or not. I am not a psychologist or mind reader and do not know what motivates Jock. Besides a few pieces of silver. Thirty to be exact. I have been told not to expect anything from him.
Thursday afternoon I received a call from Harvey and he said the parts for my backhoe were at Jock's all the time they just hadn't put them on. They didn't know how to do it, so they left them off. He had gone over all the problems with Gene and it would be straightened out.
For you who had a question about Harvey's email address. Harvey's '03 truck has about 140k on it. He is on the road constantly with his ferocious dog named KILLER, a Chihuahua.
I am sure between George Jones and Merle Haggard tapes he would be happy to talk to you on his phone, contact Mahindra.
I took my tractor down to Gene yesterday and he said he would get to it asap. Next week.
I started going over everything that Harvey had said would be straightened out and his expression was one like a deer caught in a pair of headlights. He had never installed one of these before and was nervous about it.
In all fairness to Gene he has been left holding the bag at Jock's with four antiquated tractors in various stages of disassembly, answering the phone constantly, and trying to keep the guys in the field going. Also, his wife was in a serious car accident last week and broke her back. This man was at his limit and then instead of Jock giving him a few days to be with her, he took off.
I spent a sleepless night over this and decided that I would not be a futher burden upon this good man and went down this morning picked my tractor up and left him a note.
When I am through here I will start disassembling it and pick up the parts Monday and finish the job. I paid Jock $300 to install it.
I believe Mahindra to be the best tractor, pound for pound, dollar for dollar there is. Check the specs out and compare for yourself.
I believe Mahindra has a would class organization and it's management did what it could for me.
Would I buy another one. NO! At least not here.
No matter how strong a company is, it is only as strong as it's weakest link. I can say this with 15 years of successful personal business ownership.
If Mahindra has an Achilles' heel, it is at the dealer level.
I am sure there are fantastic Mahindra dealers out there, unfortunately for me, mine is not.
Also, for anyone from Mahindra reading this.
When I first came to this site and began researching Mahindra I found to my chagrin it listed under "Other Brands". "Other Brands" to me connotes something inferior or less, which Mahindra is not. It may behoove you to do what you have to do, to place it's name among the top brands. Free business advice.
Ultimately, I am back to square one. Except wiser.
I want to thank everyone for their responses and I shall certainly continue to read the Mahindra posts and will contribute when I feel it is worthy.
Finis.

owego, I agree. Mahindra's Achille's heel is it's dealers. Too many are used car salesmen with an empty slot. I look forward to a revamping of the dealers that sell sinergistic products. (I have not heard it will happen, I am guessing).

I believe Kioti went thru a similar reorganization a year or so ago. I think many inferior dealers were eleminated.

It is better for any company to have 500 good dealers and 0 bad one than the same 500 good dealer plus 1000 bad ones. The company may sell more short term with the 1500 dealers, but will thrive long term with 500 good ones.
