Wow, that's pretty cool. Question however, why can't a unit like that be made that takes the blower power from the rear PTO? It just burns me to have to buy a machine with another motor to suck up leaves. That's why I have a front and rear PTO, to run attachments. Does anyone make one that is PTO powered?
I have a Kubota BX1500 54' deck w/ rear mount pto driven bagger. it works great. I believe two reasons for not using pto. 1: using "pony motor" is about the same cost as all sheaves req'd to increase 540pto to a 2000+ speed on blower. 2:the pto does obviously rob from engine hp. Kubota quit with the 15 hp mower and now has 18 hp. Why? b/c in long grass with 54" deck and pto driven bagger it takes 15+ hp.
