My new 3710

I finally have a pic of my new tractor. 3710 HST FEL, Woods brush mower, LandPride finish mower, box blade and rear blade. I have had it for 2 weeks now and have 27 hours on it. I don't know what I did before I had a tractor helping me with all my chores.

I can relate to that. I was maintaining (or thought I was) 42 acres with hand tools (and an aching back) for years before it occurred to me to get a tractor. Now it's like I'm a crew of 10, and my back feels much better.

And the best thing is that you'll now take on projects that wouldn't even have crossed your mind before. I can't wait to see what you do with that fine machine.

I am no doctor. I live in Clements MD and I picked up the tractor at Gardner Equipment off of 301 in Charles County. I guess I am going to update my info now.

I saw you then the day you were test driving the tractor. I asked Hugh if he had sold that machine. At that time he said he didn't know for sure. Mentioned the test driver lived in Clements and at that time you were still looking around. I also bought my L3010 as did BMW (another member) from Hugh. Went down to customer appreciation days and got my 50 hr service parts and a Stihl Weedeater. They are nice folks to do business with.

I bet that was me. I was looking at getting the 3010 with hst or the 3710 DT but my wife said this is going to be the only tractor you get for a long time so I got everything I could afford. Hugh's prices were pretty good. They were within 500 of Carver and about 1500 less than Gateway. How much was your 50 hour service? I am thinking of doing it myself if I rack up 50 hours before they run a winter special.

I was only getting parts, filters and oil, I can change them myself. About $120. They didn't have Kubota Super UDT at all or Kubota UDT in anything beyond 1 gl jugs. Their view was that IH Hy-tran was a better oil anyway (contains emulsifying agents to entrap the water, Kubota does not, their words not mine). I really cared because they had it in 5 gl buckets. Math says 12 gl of oil, it was MUCH cheaper to get Hy-tran than Kubota. Since it is a regular gear tractor, and LOTS of regular gear tractors have been using Hy-tran for YEARS, seemed like a good idea to me.

Yes I was happy with his prices. He was only slightly more (few $100, after shipping a bit less) than others, Carver included, and he is about 15 miles away (I live near Marbury).

I have been pleased with the tractor. I would not recommend the 15 series LandPride brush hog, but the 15 series blade and 25 series 3pt finish mower are great.
