My "new" 4020

The one thing that amazes me is how many folks have had experiences with the 4020. I even have ladies who tell me their husbands or dads had them and they know as much about them as the next guy. I figure about 1k will have it in tip top shape. I do not want to make it too nice though because I will be using it a good bit. So far, it has been great. I want to have the linkages gone thru. It is a little hard to get in reverse, but otherwise everything else seems ok.

The more you use it the more you will like it. Man I would fix it up nice and use it grinning ear to ear.:laughing:

Some say that is the best tractor that JD ever made. The 4020 is probably the most sought after tractor in the JD line up there is.

I do not disagree with you as I have a relatively new one, a 2005 5103. Yes, it is smoother and easier to operate. One thing I don't like about the new ones is all the plastic and the big weight difference. My 4020 will flat out pull my buddies 90hp 4wd Kubota when pulling a set of 16 ft discs, mainly due to the fact it is heavier by nearly 1000 lbs.
