thats one nice machine. I always like the pics of the owners on or standing next to them, since online all the machines look the same unless you have visual reference to how big they are, the 4x20s are a nice size.

Those arnt R4 tires are they? they look skinny in the picture at least, like AG tires

Well received the unit Saturday. The delivery person knew nothing about the tractor. He actually told me to read the manuals. Was a little overwhelmed at the size and the amount of equipment I purchased and the weight & size of it all. After he left it was time to play. Removed 8 stumps with relative ease. However, the dealer sold my 18 bucket so gave me a 24 It is nice but is almost two big. I came to terms with the dealer that he will sell me a 12 at cost. Then it was time to see if I could climb the mountain. Well it did not. So I was a bit upset. Just would spin and not get any tractions.(keep in mind it did rain Friday) Seemed like the tractor was to light in front. So Sunday came and I decided to read the 448 instructions on how to remove to see if the tractor could climb the mountain without the 448 backhoe on it. Well I could not get the 448 off, after 2 hours. So Monday I called dealer and spoke with them and they actually told me not to follow the manual it was incorrect. I followed their procedure and within 5 minutes it was off. I then attempted to climb the mountain, no problem.
As far as the tractor and performance go wow way more than enough power. You can leave the rpm痴 down and still climb where everywhere you need to. There is a design flaw in the ROP痴, in that you cannot lower it completely (only have a 8 foot door on barn) when the Backhoe is on. During the swing down it hits the two control levers for operating the bucket. The fit and trim is night and day different then my Kubota. How JD recesses the zirc fittings, the gauge of steel, etc. Have a little over 9 hours on it and just last night hit セ of a tank. Have not used the brush hog, or the box blade.

P.S. have used the new JD lx140 mower what a let down in JD quality, and way too many safety features.

Wow, the 4720 sure makes the lawn tractor appear insignificant (toy-like) when they are next to each other, doesn't it? You are right though about the small lawn tractors. They are offered no doubt to compete with the plethora of small tractors found in every home improvement store and are consumer grade casual use products hence the lower quality and extra safety features. However, when you upgrade to the serious HD quality mowers, the price rises astronomically and they no longer are competitive in price to the offerings at the home improvement depots.

The R1 Tires make that thing look HUGE!

datamm,

Are your rear R1s spaced in the standard setting/position or did you have them set out? From what I was told, the standard max width of the rear R1s on this model is 65" and one setting out would add 2" each side for a max width of 69." can you tell us what your outside and inside width is on your model with the R1s? I'm curious if I should have mine set out one position. Thanks for your help.
