3550 Fard Backhoe and a 1948 Farmall Cub,
Well after 2 years of looking through the 50 series of Grey market excavators i found one that suited me to the T. Ive been renting a smaller 27Deere and a PC20 or 30 Komatsu excavator when I eed to do a job i cant access with my Ford TLB. I figured up my renting cost on the side was 9000 dollars so i put the hammer to my piggy bank found this jewel. Im Komatsu to the bone any way I had looked at PC50uu Komatsus for a while most had the 2 post canopy and were fairly good machines but had some signs of neglect. I had Dewey Garner at Darrell Harp Enteprises look of a nicer hoe. I pass his lot every day and have known them for some time. Dewey told me he had something for me to look at and he was right. He had a PC50uu that had a cab/heater radio and wasnt beat to pieces and had fair tracks. The paint is a little rough but the blue and white is about to change to late model yellow and black.
So far ive put 8 hours on it and its not used and oils since i changed it and it doesnt leak. SInce part of myjob is running a private landfill we took it on to work and put it on the payroll laying a ne spillway culvert and cleaning a ditch and transplanting some trees. I have a few jobs at the local lake to do and alot of septic tanks to install. Now i need to get shed of my spare Ford hoe.

Here's a shot of the reach Thats one thing i really liked about it was the ability to load high sided trucks and pull off slopes I also plan to put and auxhilary line on it to run a hydraulic auger for retaining wall installtions.

Heres a shot showing its right sideshift in the air. I forgot a left side shift pic but it goes over the same distance to the left it and also hit the cab I put the bucket inside the cab to show a friend how farr it would goe to prove a point no camera available at the time. It can also put the bucket ontop of the cab but i wont need that feature lol.

Heres one last picture of the Komatsu its the little cab that helped sell it. It looks like and all terrain phone booth. The bracket behind the cab holds door latched back for a cooler day. I may also talk to the parts man at work and see if he will get me a replacement roof fann for an RV. Ill have to make a screen to protect it and support it. I also need to replace the OEM radio and get some tunes going.

I used to operate a 750 Komatsu excavator that was 9 cubic yards at the bucket. This one takes alitte getting used to. When iI sell my spare hoe im gonna paint my otherr TLB the excavator, the dump truck and both my trailers. Im gonna try to fill the void at the lake where the other contractors are eith too big to mess with a little job or too little to do a medium job.

Our well contractor used a model like yours to dig the trench for the new water line from the new well to our house, the spot he picked was full of large rocks (old fieldstone foundation) and I was really impressed at the power his little machine had. I asked them to rip out a cedar tree stump that was nearby and the stump was 30 inches across at the ground, it took five minutes for them to severe the roots and yank it out, it was so heavy my JD could barely drag it.

Is it just me or does that second pic look like your excavator is trying to imitate the Karate Kid? Nice machine!
