Yeah I know exactly what you are talking about. I spent a hour or so this past fall working on a little area under the trees that might be my BX's future bed.

lol sounds like you all know what you are talking about!

I took out several (probably about a dozen) small stumps over the last few days. It is awesome having the backhoe! I am up to 16 engine hours so far.

I also used the backhoe to dig a shallow trench to install some gutter drains. I managed to snap one in-progress picture. We have red clay here and it is a nightmare to dig by hand. The BX handles it without problem. I have several more to dig but those will have to wait a few days... darn work gets in the way of progress sometimes!

Looking good, thanks for the update and the pics, we all enjoy sharing in your progress. It's funny, we built our family home 25 years ago and raised 2 daughters. All that time I could never afford a nice tractor and trailer. Fast forward, I'm almost 60 and my youngest daughter and her husband just built a house close to us on just 1 acre, perhaps 1/2 in grass and 1/2 wooded. I joke with her that she's caused me to drop $40k in the last 2 months to buy the BX25D, new shed, new dump trailer, new Stihl saw etc., because I want to clean out the wooded area, trench all their gutter drain lines away from the house, etc.. Glad they built, gave me a legit reason to finally get the stuff I've wanted for so long. I may actually get to use them on my property too. :laughing: Keep the pics and progress coming. Good luck!

I installed drains for three more gutters yesterday but forgot to take pictures. I've got four more to go and will be all done with that project.

Today, I spread some sand in close quarters for my friend. Him and his family are farmers and I couldn't help but take a picture of the little BX in front of their Deere S680 combine.

Yes they traded their 9770 for it before corn harvest last year. Running a 40' flex draper and 16 row 30" corn head. It's a beast!
