This is the box blade I have. There is a name on the side, just not enough for me to make out. The linkage is not like the other Gannon blades I have seen. I have been trying to determine how much of the sides are missing, so I clamped a straight edge along the top bevel of the brand new 6" blades. There is at least an inch and a half missing from the bottom at the blade mount, as it is worn down to the bolt holes. I have considered cutting out the angled blade mount for rework, as it would make welding and punching new holes easier.

Btw, I searched for the hydraulic ripper conversion and couldn't find anything on it. If you get a chance would you post a link? No big hurry, lots of irons in the fire I need to get out first.

Thanks,

Well hopefully it turns out to be a labor of love as bringing a old worn machine back to life can be really rewarding, and expensive.

I managed to o get my brake and clutch pedal the issues mostly solved today. The brake pedal shaft was very stiff and would cause the left side brake to hang up. When I would push the clutch pedal it would drag the brake shaft with it, then the brake would not release all the way as well. The clutch pedal had broken at some point and the PO welded a car brake pedal to the stub. It was a cobbled mess. I bought a used clutch pedal and that came in the mail yesterday.
I pulled the brake actuator lever off the left side, then the clutch pedal. I was able to get the shaft to turn freely, then flooded the thing with grease. I cleaned up the shaft that was sticking out and reinstalled the new pedal and brake actuator. I had to remake the clutch pedal rod as it was a mess as well. I will need to make a new one, but this will do until I can order a clevis fork and some small bushings to take up the slack. The new clutch pedal has a fair amount of play in the pivot point, and then old one had none. I think I will end up boring out the new one and pressing in a bushing there as well. It works decent now, and my brake pedals return, so the major problem is solved.
The picture s of the clutch pedal from underneath the tractor.

Good stuff. You sound like me. I can't stand things like that...... Don't understand why any owner would let it get to that point. If my pedals/levers/knobs don't work properly I'm tearing them apart to find out why.

Do you have a tractor salvage company that you buy parts from??

Just managed to find some online and through some emails. I got the clutch pedal and a power beyond fitting from JC Marleau. Super nice guy, I would recommend him to anybody.

You're right, JC Marleau is a real nice man. I bought a manifold heater core and a instrument cluster form him, he's lives up in Canada as I remember. I sent him some pictures and we exchanged a couple of emails too.

Here are a couple of pictures of my brake and clutch sides of my machine:

I looked at your picture and really appreciate what you're going through. Cheers!

I would suggest starting a new thread with the tractor make/model in the title? Most members of TBN search "New Posts" or "Today's Posts" for anything new each time they log on. Your thread will show up and if anyone is interested in that tractor they'll join in. Another tip is to include pictures. The fact that you have added pictures shows up in the thread info as a paperclip. This interests a lot of readers and they'll check in just to see your pics.

Looking good Stans1. The parking brake rig is on my list to repair, mine is pretty mangled.

Today I got my box scraper repairs done. I drew up some side plate patches and cut them out today, then welded them on. Then I drew up a 72" x 1 1/2" rectangle with 3/4" half circles along one edge. Then I welded it to the bottom of the blade mount to replace the worn away section.

I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow after I take it off the table and put it back on the tractor.
