Although Powerservice is a good product to raise cetane, increase lubricity and keep diesel from gelling, I'd recommend a diesel biocide for diesels that sit for long periods of time. Algae growth causes havoc with diesel fuel systems.

It can. The only additives that will keep algae out is a biocide, and PowerService doesn't contain any to my knowledge.

Powerservice is an additive to increase cetane and lubricity, and will lower the gelling point of diesel fuel. Only a Biocide additive will kill or keep algae from growing.
