My new Ford 1715 with FEL

Thank you! Yes, it was a little wet... I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that it's that time of year now. Ha ha. It was my first time really putting it to the test. So far so good!

Congrats on the new JD Topper! I'll bet you're enjoying the HST. I got the 1715 with just over 1250 hours, so very low for it's age(1995). It's a one owner that sold from Brim, I think by the salesman that I work with. Brian sure does enjoy pulling that trailer around! Ha ha. I think he'll end up getting tired of hauling it back and fourth after the third or fourth time. How many hours do you have one the 1710? Any major repairs?

Congrats those are fine machines and with the TLC that you have put into it will last you a good long while

Thanks NC419N. I've been hearing nothing but good things about them. The simplicity is fantastic. I do wish it had a remote or two, but otherwise I couldn't be happier!

Chris, I actually bought the JD new in 2009. So it's not that new anymore. I do love it and use it a lot. The 1710 has just over 1000 hrs. I have kept it in very nice condition. Bought it from Brim in 1995 with 230 hrs on it. About the only thing that I have had to do besides normal maintenance is the waterpump and alternator and that was just recently and super easy to replace. Not bad for a 30 year old machine. Anyway, you will enjoy the 1715 and I am sure you will get many years of enjoyment out of it. Give our girl a hug for us, as you know she is a great find! Keep in touch, Top

By the way, if you guys make it over to Tonasket to visit the in-laws, you should come visit and see the old beast (1710). Also you should play with the Excavator, if you haven't ran one, it's a hoot.

Thanks for the insight Top! Sounds like you have one clean ol' Ford. Shannon says hi, and yes, she's a heck of a find. I'm a very blessed man!

We hope to make it up soon, and help out with the cabin. I've ran a couple of mini excavators in the past on side jobs. Non of them as big as the KX121, but it's a blast! We look forward to seeing you guys there. Hopefully we can make it before the pass closes!
