My GC2310 has the FEL and BH attached, MMM is in the garage, tiller is still at the dealer. What I've found clearing snow is that the front end can be a little light, so the BH obviously provides lots of counterbalance. In float mode pushing snow, in 4wd, frequently I lose steering. Looking at the front wheels, they're turning under power, but just light enough to slide on the snow and not provide steering. I have to lift the bucket higher out of float mode, then it steers again. The owners manual says proper weight distribution with the 4wd is 40/60 front/rear.

i bought the gc2300 with the mmm. not the gc2310. thats why the fel was purchased and installed afterwards. i welded up a 3pt carriage with 3 large cement foundation blocks ( which can be bought at any ordinary hardware store) for counter weight when using the fel ...... it works perfect and and is adjustable ..... just add or remove blocks as required. without counter weight i could
not dig or carry anything without the rear wheels leaving the ground. ......the gumbster:cool:

I thought Massey was coming out with a retrofit filter guard for the 2300 series.
Has anyone heard anymore on this? That is the only big concern I would have with the machine.

I checked with my dealer and he said nothing is available at this time.

I did see some posts on this topic last fall and thought the cover was coming out soon. So much for thinking.

About the weight needed for FEL work. I just take my tiller for a ride when I do FEL work. Usually I will be using the tiller when I get done with the loader anyway. I just make sure it is tight and cannot sway around. I also have loaded rear tires.

Will it smoke the tires if you leave weight box resting on ground and take off?

My dealer advised me that p/n is for the shield on the current production GC tractors only. He was told he can expect the kit to be released for earlier production units later this month. Will keep you posted.

Since my dealer couldn't get his hands on a block heater my first year, he installed a radiator heater.

One dealer that I talked with, told me that it is too tight under the GC2300/GC2310 hood to fit a radiator heater (AKA a recirculating antifreeze heater).

Where is yours installed? Did he just cut an existing hose and put it in there, or did he run plumbing to special inlet/outlets on the side of the engine? Can you post a picture showing its location?
