Grapple My new grapple

I do not have loaded tires, just added weight on box blade. My 50 pto hp tractor will pick up 1800 lbs acording to specs. I dont need rear weight to move grapple around empty ( park in shed ect.) It does work great on logs, the center of gravity is very close to pins so heavy loads are not a problem with a lot of control.
Now I do have whole cars but thank god there deep enough....I have hauled 15 to 20 ton off in the past 6 years. I really hope I am close to ther end.

Wow DDT! That's a lot of junk! And worth a few dollars just laying there. That should help pay for your grapple. Keep digging and you may pay for your other implements, too! The scrap place should be able to unload your trailer with a big electromagnet on a crane. Even very rusty metal counts.

I have seen a lot of scrap on trailers lately being cashed in. With the down economy people are scratching around for just about anything that will pay off. That's really good because it gets rid of all that trash out in the woods. Only bad thing...some of the really old antiques...some old boilers, tractors, logging equipment, cars, etc., should be saved since they are museum pieces and historical. Oh well, one man's junk is another man's treasure...

In my area. Back in April bulk (dirty) scrap iron paid $0.0855 per lb. This last week it was paying $0.095 per lb. That is quite a rise.

I keep finding more and more junk as I clear out the first layer...

Right now I am finding steel cable coils... In multiple locations...
