Saturday morning I was looking for a project and Noticed I had not done anything with this loader frame I bought from the scrap yard last year. I ran several ideas thru my head and settled on a new box blade. I did not have enough plate so I poked around in the scrap pile and found some channel that would work. I do not have the patience to draw up plans or to show all of the steps. I do have great confidence in my welding ability while it may not suit a perfectionist I harken back to my child hood when we were fabricating something and my granddad and uncle would say "that will be fine, We aint building a piano" I get used grader blade for my hard surface. It works extremely well. I added the last coat of paint yesterday. I will try and get a weight on it but I figure its about 500# to 600# the frame before anything was added was +200#.

Well done! This is far better than I could do. One question. Should you run a couple of pieces at a 45 degree angle from the piece that attaches to the top link to the front of the blade for some added support?

Fred, I have thought about that and will see. there is really no stress on this besides the weight and tilt of the Box . I use a quick connect frame and used cat 2 pins I then put a cat 3 bushing so it nest in the hooks snugly. If I add side supports it will be after I decide where and if I will add ripper shanks to it

M5farms that looks real good, I like building projects where you use what you have.

Fred, if you think about the top link it swivels side to side. No real need to add gussets to the top link mast.

Somebody posted a pic of an attachment that had tool bar with ripping teeth on it and you could hook it up to blade or rake. I decided thats what I wanted and put one together today. I'll drill and cut holes tomorrow then paint and order the teeth for it.
