Loretta, Rob, The new JM284 is very colorful to say the least. I think I like your fender design better than mine. I had to use my belt sander to get clearance for chains on my IHT 284 due to the design being close to the tire.
The loader has a nice touch with quick release bucket. Speaking of FELs the front support is identical to the one on my ZL20. I had it moded last week to allow clearance for the front tires in sharp turns when the front axle pivots up. The fabricater cut the arms 6" below the top parallel with the top end. He then cut out the bottom gusset supports and shortened the bottom tube so that the support was 22.5 inches outside to outside on the arms. At the top cut he put a 4" section of stock to make a shoulder and used the gussets to reinforce the underside of the shoulder on both sides. I test fitted the tacked up support, he adjusted to the needed positions and welded everything up with some very nice welds. I had drawn out the redesign and the only change he recommended was the 6" distance on the toparm sections. This was a good change as I look at the finished support. The shoulders are slightly sloped up to accomadate the angle on the gussetsas there is a taper to the original arm design.
I can't weld so that was my only choice to correct a serious issue. I hope as you do the tractor prep you will check this out. I wish I could show you pics but, I do not have the right setup to do that. My front tire lugs are gouged from the original support design.
Hope I have not wasted your time and all works well for you, Elton
