Congratulations, Loretta!

I love the color.

That seems to be a QA loader bkt, too. Nice.

Did you have to pick it up at the Port of Long Beach?

Loretta, is that dual remotes that I see pictured as well? Did Rob let you get the 4 in 1 bucket? Probably not, yours would be better than his then!! Yours is certainly prettier than that old Kama.

Loretta, Rob, The new JM284 is very colorful to say the least. I think I like your fender design better than mine. I had to use my belt sander to get clearance for chains on my IHT 284 due to the design being close to the tire.
The loader has a nice touch with quick release bucket. Speaking of FELs the front support is identical to the one on my ZL20. I had it moded last week to allow clearance for the front tires in sharp turns when the front axle pivots up. The fabricater cut the arms 6" below the top parallel with the top end. He then cut out the bottom gusset supports and shortened the bottom tube so that the support was 22.5 inches outside to outside on the arms. At the top cut he put a 4" section of stock to make a shoulder and used the gussets to reinforce the underside of the shoulder on both sides. I test fitted the tacked up support, he adjusted to the needed positions and welded everything up with some very nice welds. I had drawn out the redesign and the only change he recommended was the 6" distance on the toparm sections. This was a good change as I look at the finished support. The shoulders are slightly sloped up to accomadate the angle on the gussetsas there is a taper to the original arm design.
I can't weld so that was my only choice to correct a serious issue. I hope as you do the tractor prep you will check this out. I wish I could show you pics but, I do not have the right setup to do that. My front tire lugs are gouged from the original support design.
Hope I have not wasted your time and all works well for you, Elton

CONGRATULATIONS Loretta Glad to hear that your honeybee (maybe smoking honeybee) has made it's journey across the Pacific. It really wasn't Rob's fault on getting it started with those chinese fluids still in it:D Good Luck -Ed
Actually, it wasn't the fluids at all..... they totally forgot to connect the glow plugs! As soon as Rob uploads pics, I'll be posting about it.

Make sure you let him have some of the housekeeping in return!! (all of it)
Ha, Ha.... great idea.... I guess I can let him help with them.

did she get the shuttle shift or the creeper gears?

I got the creeper gear. I think the shuttle shift would have been cool, though. But on second thought... creeper gear is more my speed... it's pretty scary when it goes fast.

I can just see the red tractor chasing the yellow tractor all over the property - bzzz!

Loretta, don't let Rob drive it too much - he still has to fix the front end on the Kama.
:D I wanted to get a picture of the two of us next to each other on the road..... but I like your image a lot better... Huge Kama chasing after HoneyBee.

And, yes.... Rob drove it a whole lot more than I did this weekend... but you'll have to read about that in the next post. (But he DID get Huge Kama fixed)

Thanks, Dave... Hey, are you going to be at the Ag Show next week? I'd love to finally meet you.

Hi Elton,
I was really hoping you could post some photos for us. You know by now I have been banned from Joe's board after contributing for several years. Loretta has been banned too...for no reason. I won't go into the details.
Anyway, so we have no way to view anything on that board now. I can't even view my own threads about all the mods and maintenance I posted.
So if you could figure how to post photos, that would really help us.
You can also visit us here Chinese Tractor World and click on the forum button.
Thanks for your help.

Rob, can't you still view stuff as a guest? What on earth did you do, make fun of Granny or Jed?

Did not know that!!!

You should be able to view as a guest from another computer if he can ban by IP.

I'm glad you guys started the other board. I always thought that "must own a chinese tractor" crap was way over the top. It never took into account people that may have been trying to make up their mind about buying one.

Internet boards as a general rule don't need much moderation although sometimes it's needed.

Case in point. The recent thread here on TBN "hard starting jinma" Although I grew tired of it and it went way off topic. I am glad the moderators allowed it to run it's course.

A good board owner/moderator will only use his power when personal attacks or threats are made. Most family rated boards should have a no XXX **** rule to.
