Hello all and thanks to everyone who posted over the past few months with info on the CK30. It all started with a visit to a Kioti dealer to check out a used New Holland TC33. I thought this was my choice for a compact tractor, (TC29 or 33) It was a standard so I wasn't interested. The CK30 caught my eye and it just seemed like I satarted comparing the other manufacturers to the KIOTI and the little extras that come with the CK30 couldn't be overlooked. Looked hard at a Kubota L2800, but the salesman never called. I don't think he took me seriously. I'll make a comparison later in this post. Anyway, sold an older Ford 1600 and did a lot better than I expected. Still can't believe I have a new KIOTI in the shed. I'm guessing that Wallace knows who I am now.
I'll compare the L2800 since this was almost identical in price and remember, this is my opinion only. I like the rubber mat cover on the platform of the KIOTI. Kubota did not have this and I'm sure with my light use the scratching would be very noticeable in no time. Mid PTO is an option on the KIOTI. Probably never use it but you never know. Not an option on the Kubota. Telescoping lift arms on the KIOTI, not so on the Kubota. Sounds like I'm trying to talk myself into the CK30 again. One thing I don't like on my CK30...the ROPS, but I'll get used to it. Never had any before, maybe that's why. Sure wish I had the new style. My wife will have a struggle to push the ROPS up. I'm still trying to get used to the hydrostatic drive. Still pushing the clutch, but I suppose I'll get used to this too. Someone on here complained about the speed of the bucket and I can honestly say that for me it's plenty fast. Try operating an older Ford 2wd with two levers for lift, lower / scoop and dump. The CK30 is a dream compared to this and the joy stick location is just perfect. One last thing. My KIOTI looks really good too. See some pics....sorry no action shots. Again thanks for all of the advice and I'll keep reading. Thanks for working with me Rick, (and Amy). I think she runs the business. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
