The swing function on excavators is a gear and pinion set up, so it is the weakest function of them all. With the boom on the KXs, the boom articulates side ways via piston, so is stronger, but impractable to use effectively. I want a mower for my KX121, but at about $8K, too much. I have a 5,6, and 7' bush hogs, and with my L48 I can mow anything. People complain it is too slow to mow with, I disagree slightly, as it does the job. And, with what other machine can you dig with power comparable to KX121 and STILL mow a field at the same job site? I think Kubota has the best mini x's on the market hands down. Smooth, powerful, and tight.
