Beautiful machine! I wanted a new toy back in April of 99 and went looking at the big Honda bikes. I think the model I wanted was a CBR1100x or something like that. After getting insurance quotes I bought a new Dodge Dakota pickup instead. The following summer I settled on a Suzuki DRZ400s dual sport motorcycle. I just couldn't see paying $1000 a year for insurance for a toy I could only ride 6 to 8 months per year.

The insurance on this bike cost me $400 a year. It is just a little more then my ATV insurance so it isn't too bad. Do you have a pic of your bike as I love to see other peoples toys as well as share mine.

The styling and price was the main factor which pushed me towards the 954. I was looking at a Yamaha YZF-R1 and almost bought it but didn't care for the dealer. Also looked at the Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 but it was also at the dealer I didn't care for, plus the financing wasn't as good. If I ever get out your way you are more then welcome to take this one for a ride if I get to try the Ducati /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Gosh, I'd hate to have to ride that thing! It's purty, but sure looks uncomfortable. I like to sit up straight and have enough of a windshield to keep the bugs out of my face. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Must be the difference in our ages. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Actually it isn't to bad as far as comfort goes. As for bugs, I have a full faced helmet so I don't have to worry about anything except a Bird hitting me as I drive /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Looks great..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I gave up the 2 wheels when the health went South, but I always preferred the bigger cruisers.
