Well thanks guys for all of the info... i decided on the BX 2200 with FEL rear scaper blade and 60 MMM. Got it for 12,100 the MF priced about $600 more without the blade. Hey isnt that grill guard suppose to be standard with the loader? I didnt get one.

Im not 100% sure on sub compacts but on the compacts you do not get a grill guard with the LA272 loader---Unless you pay for it. They do come standard on the LA 302,352 and 402. This is what my dealer said???? Glenn

The BX22 you get it BUT the BX2200 you do not without paying $160 for it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gifTry getting the BX22 grill guard I think they look better and provide better protection.

Good luck on the new unit!

I second what Tom said, the grill guard is not standard, and it costs $160. I would also have liked the BX22 guard, but I did not know about it until after I received mine..........if I had only found this site before I shopped for the tractor!!!!

Anyhow, I don't know that it is that important to have yet as the standard one doesn't really look like it protects much now that I have it. If I had it to do over again, I would apply the $160 toward a front tooth bar.

Congrats, I priced the BX2200, fel, and 60mmm here in Indiana yesterday for $12,943. Sounds like I need to do more shopping.

Well add me to the list of new owners. Just got my new BX2200 with FEL, BB and 60" MMM on Tuesday and promply to the rest of the week to to play, err work. Put about 10 hours on it so far but it rained all day today. So far I'm quite pleased. I put in a new trail in the woods and the smaller size makes it much easier to handle. I also practiced with the FEL by removing an old raised bed that has been breaking my back every few weeks for a while now. Moved a ton of dirt in minutes what a joy....

This is my first tractor and I all ready know I should have done this 5 years ago. The only issues I had so far were a couple of hydraulic leaks that where just loose fittings. As it has been said here many times, go through every nut and and bolt on the machine. I will be trying that approach over the weekend.

I want to thank you all for all the information that made shopping a lot easier and has my head spinning with projects to complete. BTW I got local here in NC for 12,250 as described above. I built a dolly for the BB today and will be building somethign similar to stow the FEL as well. Sure makes it a lot easier to get things on and off. I just picked up some casters at Lowe's and used a couple of 6' 2x4 I had and the it fits the blade perfect. I just hope it dries out soon so I can test run that mower....
