Ernie, I was a little surprised you were driving the Yanmar to town...but those F-series are more comfortable than a lot of cars.

actually, here in Maryland it is not uncommon to have a deer taking a nap in a loader. Looks like that one is out cold!!!

BrettW, you better stop the exagerating. Here in So MD they prefer Lesabres and other cars. Our small group of hunters, 11, lost 2 cars to them the past year. My Lesabre being one of them and the other a continental. Nice 8-10 pointer totalled my Buickt, and no one ever saw the deer again. Must have been bruised and battered but not down.

Hey, I am in So. Md so I know what I'm taking about. That deer in the loader is just taking a long nap. Ernie ran out a borrowed that gun to make us all respect him more. Come clean Ernie, when did that deer wake up? We in Md have laws to protect God's creatures and we like to give our hard earned money to people that refuse to work and we like lots of traffic. So let that deer go. bw

Did you notice the tag on his horns ?
Hes out cold all right, with 180 grain nosler boat tail in his neck.
He was to heavy to pack out from the back field (170 lbs.
by the scale. So I used the yanmar to haul him up here
where we could snap his picture while he was sleeping.
We are having summer sausage,pepperoni,and jerky made
from the whole deer.
My Wife wont cook deer steak, or roast she says its to wild!
(oh well).

That deer sausage and jerky is great stuff. I'm not a hunter, but work with alot of guys that are. Every once in a while, one of them will bring some in and share it.
