ummm. I'll leave that one alone.

Don't know the exact term for what's wrong, but tractor is sitting in the shop with the housing directly under the seat open (seat off). They have the part and I should get tractor back next week. Could have gotten it tomorrow if I'd pushed them, but don't have any urgent need. It's covered under warranty which is good, but am a little disappointed something would go bad in 200 hrs. Also, my BH swing cushion isn't working (again). They fixed that a few weeks after I got it.

Will advise with exact terminology when I get it back. Ah well, my new 2 wheel tractor is making do just fine in the mean time (except no heavy lifting!). Whacked up some stuff on a real steep hill yesterday that I couldn't have gotten with the TC40 anyway.

One of my Repair Manual diagrams titled "flow priority" has the remote valves before the HPL control valve. Another diagram that shows flow for the remote valves shows fluid going through the HPL valve and lift cover assembly before going to the remote valve(s). Since the remote valves are attached to the cover, fluid must come from there. It will be interesting to know what the part was.
