Tractor News My old 2210 still seems to be a good tractor

Our opinions are about that far apart. In mine when the Motor is Made by Yanmar for JD. and whatever else on it. It's a Yanmar just Painted Grn. which I like Grn

Well if we had a picture of the OP's Yanmar 2210 we could post a picture of my JD2210 beside it and then decide.

I have a few slopes but that doesn't seem to matter. Up or Down. Sounds like your having to shift because of lack of Eng. Hp. to get up the hills. Somethings not right. My speed to gear range makes it to were I don't ever need to shift in a forward movement. I run 1500-1600 eng. Rpm 2nd. PTO. so that gives me 1400 rpms to use Per Gear. I don't get it but over coming lack of Eng. Hp.

But you did say if the engine is made by Yanmar, it's a Yanmar painted grn. So the smaller JD lawn tractors are Kawasaki because they have a Kawasaki engine?? Hmmmm.... I did not know that. Learned something today.

Yup! what it is. and Just painted GRN. A Kawasaki Lawn mower. LOL.

Some of the JDs are nothing but yanmar. Painted green. Everything, engine, seat , transmission, fenders is stuff that YANMAR put on that tractor and then put JD decals on it. Those were in the 80s/90s. From then till recent the compact line has yanmar engines and maye a few other things but the rest i beleive is all JD and many are assembled right here in GA some at the augusta plant. Im sure there are many other assembly places around the US also? I dont consider those yanmars in green but just with a yanmar engine in a JD chasis.

It may not be a Yanmar painted green but if it has a Yanmar engine it was built by Yanmar and shipped to JD, at least up til '86. At least that's what Hoye and Fredricks think.

you are correct. BUt every compact tractor JD has made since when ever you site has had a JD motor in it. That does not mean the rest is from yanmar.

I'm afraid I didn't understand any of that.
If you meant, "every compact tractor JD has made since '86 has had a JD motor in it. That does not mean the rest is from yanmar", That is why it was stated "'every JD with a Yanmar motor".
