My pole barn...a solo affair

The door rail cover came in and with little effort, installed. Just need to pressure wash the rest of the barn now.
Then tippy toeing on the step ladder until the tin over the track was installed. I'll installed the far end piece after the door is installed. I had to pull the door off to installed the door top end J trim.

It is a single track with the doors butting together. I plan on adding 8 (maybe 10) feet of track on the other end. With 8 feet, only 4 foot of the openings will be blocked by the door.

I got the door's tin on today.

I also installed a concrete pad in front of the walk-thru-door. I made it in 1994 and both kids have their handprints in it. Truly special! It has been moved 3 times and thankfully the wire embedded keeps it together. Fritz just had to be in the photo.

I added doors to the front of my open sided machine shed a few years ago. Used single track for two doors. I added track out past the ends of the shed so the doors could open that way and have the whole side of the shed open at the same time. I'm not sure that was such a good idea. When open, the doors are susceptible to wind.

I suppose double track would be the most logical in your case. But, I'd have done it just like you did. Using what you already have.

I've got several squares of concrete that I have repurposed over the years. Using a couple right now as a temporary sidewalk to our new house until we get an apron poured this Spring.

Unfortunately I don't have any with my kids handprints. That is very cool!!!!

No landing strip suits me just fine, as I have only worked airliners the last 35 years. Don't want any "work" anywhere near my home.
