These temporary hooks are a great solution!. Thanks for the photo!

Jim, your FEL looks like it may not be a NH, due mostly to the black bucket. Is this true? If so, is the quick attachment to the tractor any different. One of the reasons (besides the additional cost) I did not get my 40D with the FEL was the additional hardware that NH leaves attached to the midsection of the tractor and which sticks up along sides the tractor. I noticed recently that on a JD all but a pipe-shaped mount gets left with the FEL when it's removed. How's your's work? ... or maybe a picture, as we don't have space for the thousand words. Just curious! Thanks. ...Duane

I have a std duty NH FEL bucket that's the same color (gray). Mine also has a NH part number sprayed on the side, so it's a NH bucket. On my TC25D, the only thing that stays on the tractor is a pipe shaped piece on each side of the tractor (see attached picture)

Nice looking blue tractor! I think I spotted a dust speck on the hood. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I hope I own its cousin soon!

Nice set-up. I'll set my FEL up the same when I get it this Spring.

Duane, my bucket is a NH heavy duty bucket and I've added the NH bolt-on cutting edge also, on the lower lip. What is left on my tractor when the loader is removed is the upright posts (U-shaped toward the front), the undercarriage frame, and, of course, the hydraulic remote control. I've only removed the loader once. I followed NH's instructions and it was a smooth and easy operation even on uneven dirt. With the FEL removed, I felt like I was driving a sports car since it was so much lighter and maneuverable. Putting the loader back on was also "easy as pie" by following printed directions.

When I first installed the hooks, someone suggested that I reverse the red-handled pin because the large washer might not hold the stress if the clevis slipped. That was probably good advice. I also have gotten lazy and leave the hooks installed all the time, but recently while pushing some brush, I lost one of the lynchpins when some brush "reached in" and snatched it off. Brush has no sense of humor./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

and they work great! I went to TSC and got mine for my TC45 - I added a coupla links in the chain though - thanks Jim for the idea - I like the fact that it's not a permanent thing like a welded hook and being on chain makes it a bit more flexible - lengthen or shorten the chain as needed - install or remove at will in seconds - and the torque is not right on the bucket's edge either --- I like it!

Tried Tractor Supply Company in Paris, TX today and everyones eyes glassed over. Any suggestions on who else in the Paris to Dallas area that might have these?

Tractor Supply didn't have hitch pins?? /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif In my local TSC, the pins are at the back of the store to the right of the service desk near where the other tractor parts are. The hooks and chain are near the front where the air compressors are.

If I had a HD bucket, I'd have been out today buying the pins, chain and hooks. Unfortunately, the std bucket doesn't have the same holes.
