You can break beads with the BH or FEL bucket, or by driving up on it with a truck tire. Obviously, it's not ideal, but in a pinch.
Any one ever use a Bh Bucket to break a tire bead?
JJ, did you ever get your hydraulic bead breaker figured out. I just picked one up cheap myself and had to give myself an education.I have one of these, can anyone verify whether it is pneumatic or hydraulic. I changed the input fitting to a hydraulic fitting that would work with a hydraulic jack, but after looking at the picture I am not sure. In the above page of bead breakers, I believe that the yellow foot control box is an air powered hyd pump. On the same page, they show one with what looks like an air fitting. The blue one. The way I thought it worked was that you placed it on the wheel bead, and applied air or hydraulic pressure, and the breaker would clamp to the bead rim, and push out another cylinder to push the tire off the bead. Any body use one of these breakers before, and if so, please provide operation details of the unit.
