Tell your son I hate him. :D I have yet to test the HPX. Ive gone up hills with mud that woulda stopped my 6x4 diesel dead in its tracks with out the slighest slowdown. Its not a matter of IF I can get through mud its HOW I can. For example can I make it up the muddy hill in 2 wheel drive ? 2 wheel drive with the rear diff locked ? 4 wheel drive ? or 4 wheel drive with rear diff locked ? So far ive won all the bets where my dad says I cant make it up the hill with the 2 wheel drive/locked rear diff combo.

if i would still have my stock 24'' 489's i would be stuck. but them 27''589's they just grab every thing.we had to shut down ridin early because the water was gettin close to the transmission vent line . and i want to run the vent hole on the clutch enclosure higher too.then i will be able to run in water or mud half way up the gas tank.that would be about 26'' 27'' high.and with a little sylicone around the fuse block and a water tight seal on the front of it i think i can get seat level water crossings.

Yeah that's what's mostly stopping me from heading up a creek that goes through our land. It has lots of little holes with deep enough water to mess things up pretty good. That's the one thing bad about the diesel though is the fact we don't get a clutch enclosure but oh well.

Everybody with the stronger machines turned chicken on me when they came out to try my big hill climb. Even the guy on a Raptor shook his head and passed. I went up it in my Rhino with one of my son's friends with me and he screamed like a girl the entire way! My RTV and another guy's gas powered HPX both ran out of umph about half way up. The traction was fine, they both just ran out of power. A guy with an older Ranger made it about 10' higher than the RTV and HPX and the moron almost flipped it because he got a bit sideways.

I'll get pics next time. That is if I don't get skeered myself. :)

must be a some worn out hpx mine got plenty of power even with the 27''s. the only way i could see the hpx stallin on a hill climb would be floodin out because of the angle on and float in the carb . but as long as you keep your foot to the pedal you should be fine.plus they could be inexsperienced drivers too! i wieght 145 my wife wieghts 120 and my tool box weighs about 200lbs and my son rides in the back he wieghs 70 lbs and it trucks right through everything i put it through not to mention i pulled my jeep cherrokee out the mud the other day to and i do all my drivin at barely over idleing. i plan on doin some engine mods to it in the future to see what this baby will realy do but for now she is tackeling averything i put in front of her even a 3 mile run down a head lane after a good rain with the tire so caked with mud that they are rubing the fendersand she still goes.
