My Trip to Power Trac

I am going to be posting a review about my experience in going down to Power Trac. I guess the best place to put it is under reviews. I tried to take some pictures as well, but the day was dark and dreary.

Needless to say, the 8 hour drive down there and back was well worth it. Scott and Terry are very friendly and gave me all the time and attention that I needed. The new facility and very nice and the whole place is on the upswing with the new construction going on which includes a very large building for fabrication.

So my trip to Tazwell was a great success and lots of fun. My 425 is sitting outside right now waiting for me to clear a space for it in the garage tomorrow.

Are Scott and Kristi now located in the new building? Are all the tractor models on display inside the new building? Where do they do the demo such as digging, inside our outside?

We loaded a pallet with the mini hoe, stump grinder, buckets and 4 bar tires into the back of my truck.

The 425, snow blade, mower deck and pallet forks went on the trailer.

Yes, Scott has a nice office now in the new building, see attached)

He showed me his old office, man was that cramped!

They do the digging and demos out back. I will attach a bunch of pics tomorrow with my story.

In their staging room with tons of parts, they also stage the completed runs of tractors that they have built. You might see anywhere from 1 to 20 of different models, depending on what has been sold.

They build to anticipated sales forcasts, not build to order. This way they are building in runs of the same model which helps to make the manufacturing pocess more efficient.

There were a ton of different models in this room ready to go. Some, like mine were tagged with a customer's name. I was slobbering all over the place and Scott had to give me a bib to keep my shirt clean!

BTW: They also had several of the "white" mine tractors which is a part of their original business.
