Great pictures, thank you.
I saw a number of changes from my 425 series. Noticed the oil cap on the tank, is this vented? Also let us know if you get any leakage around the top plate of oil tank. Most including mine have small amount of leakage that just accumulates dirt.

Yes, the oil cap is vented but I have not noticed any leaks yet. Terry told me the most common cause of leaks is when people over fill the tank and then operate on hills. The oil runs out the vents?

I put three hours on it today having fun, uhhh, I mean working hard!

Very Nice!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here's some differences between your late 2004 model and my late 2001 model...

Different engine.
External muffler.
Vented hydraulic oil cap.
Different engine compartment layout.
-engine in rear.
-pumps in front.
-battery in front.
Engine cover looks to be different where it meets the hydraulic reservoir as mine doesn't have that 2" lip on the front. Also, your mesh on the sides of the engine cover is much larger than mine and yours has vents on top in front of the cooling fan and mine doesn't.
Hydraulic relief valves and block under gas tank, mine are elsewhere.
Right side bolt behind rear tire... mine holds the battery tray, but your battery is up front, so what does it hold?

Nice array of attachments, too. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Don't know. I'll have to take a peek in there to see what it is connected to?

Here's a shot of the rear of the 425.

Notice how the muffler is discoloring after only 3.5 hours use?

The rear of your cage is different from mine as well. You have more screen area. Mufflers will discolor. That's normal.

Another difference I noticed is the front shelf where the FEL lift cylinders attach appears to be much deeper than mine. Probably to allow for the higher lift height. I think your model is also longer than mine. Mine is the same length as the current PT422s, I believe.

Does it appear that changing the oil filter and engine oil filter to be easy? Could not see either one in the pictures so I assume they are below and to the side of the pump (oil filter) and the engine oil filter is on the lower side of the engine.

"" some differences ""

This brand new PT-425 is quite different from my 2/4 model!!

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Should I be gratified that PT has made so many 'improvements', or distressed that after building these for so many years they still don't seem to know what will work best!!??!!

And here's the happy guy with the PT smile on his baby in the driveway...

Oh man, I hate it when this happens....another 'got to do some work on the tractor' guy with a PT-eatin' grin on his face. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
