My truck is in the body shop now and we pulled the fender flares and there was rust under them on the rear quarter panels. It wasn't real bad but I'm going to get it fixed anyway. I don't think the flares really had anything to do with the rust being worse. Ahhh, isn't owning vehicles great.

Sorry to hear that. Hope the fix works. I had our Dakota at work fixed in the fenders and it rusted again 1.5 years later worse.

My 1990 ranger is just starting to get some rust bubbles from the front of the rear tire on the body panel. Its from the inside rusting out, where the 2 pieces of metal are sandwitched at the fender edge for strength i guess.
