My turn! New L2800HST

After months of lurking (both online and at dealer lots /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) I finally bit the bullet and wrote the check. Boy am I happy! The L2800HST seems to be a good fit for my needs. It has plenty of power to the 5' brush mower (I have an old pasture I started re-claiming today). I added the FEL, the mower, a 9" post hole digger, 5' box blade, bucket teeth and hooks, and RimGuard in the tires. The photo shows the tractor with mower, with the first 2-3 acres of reclaimed pasture behind.

One of our posters recently had a problem running a 6' finish mower with his. There definitely seemed to be a power issue and his dealer was checking things out to see if it was due to the HST sapping power, or a faulty mower deck or something else. Please let us know if you have any running problems when mowing. I suspect his is an isolated problem, as my machine has always seemed to have more than enough guts. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You need a canopy though...that sun gets hot.

It was me that had the L2800 HST with the lack of power. The Kubota area service manager told my dealer to bring the tractor to the assembly plant that also has a dyno to measure the PTO output HP. They seem to think it is fuel restriction or HST problem but,not sure yet. He told the dealer to do whatever it took to make a satisfied customer and that went to the extent that the dealer just let me upgrade to the L3400 HST 4wd. My tractor only had 1 hour on it anyway and had never been titled, it was more or less a test drive you could say. They nice folks at the delaership said they would let me know what they find out the problem to be. It really doesn't matter since I am gettin my new L3400 tomorrow evening anyway but, I still am interested in what the problem was. Good Luck and hope you enjoy your 'Bota! I have 1 hr on my new L2800HST and used it with my 6 ft finishing mower and did not have a lack of power. We just had plenty of rain and I was out of town for a week and the grass was very thick. No problems. Good luck. John
