These are also 4 wheeler tires. The size is 27X7-14, they're 24" tall.

Yeah, that's the biggest advantage of the diesel. I can lug this along at an idle on jobs that a gasoline will kill at less than full throttle. My double rotary plow has a different gear ratio than a typical rotary plow, so it turns faster. Joel told me that the rotary plows can be ordered with different gear ratios for different rpm tractors. This one was made for slower rpm PTOs. I rarely run it more than 1/2 throttle.

My 2 cents: I personally run an 853 diesel. Before that ran Honda GX390 on same tractor. I will take the diesel all day long. I like the torque at low RPM. technically the Honda GX390 has more torque at full throttle than the KD440. However, in my opinion the Kohler KD440 feels like a much stronger engine from a working perspective. So I really don't care what numbers the Honda engineers come up with in their lab tests. Its a shame the EPA has outlawed these engines! I keep more than 1 on hand just for that reason. I don't want to be without one. Who knows though maybe there will be a sensible solution that will allow continued importation of these small diesels engines for our walk behind tractor application.
