If she's doing all the brashing and snedding, then make sure she's got boots and trousers too :thumbsup:
You may know this one already: but as the work she's doing with it will involve walking around with a running saw in an area that has logs/branches strewn over it, get her into the habit of putting the blade brake on whenever she's not using the saw.
My brother's an arborist/tree surgeon, and says the most prominent noise when he's at work is the continuous "Dink" noises as he and colleagues trip the blade brake after each cut. "If you're finger's not on the trigger, blade brake should be engaged" He reckons that habit has saved his arms a couple of times as he tripped and inadvertently pulled the trigger while falling: even pros mess up![]()
Not trying to be a harbinger of doom: but I've heard too many horror stories from my brother!
I did exactly that a few years ago. Cut through the side of my boot and just scratched the side of my little toe. Steel toes didn't help, it was just behind it.
