My Wooden Bucket

I used the wooden bucket this morning picking up limbs. I only put on the bottom half. That is all you need for limbs ans sticks. I put the top part on to make it hold more leaves. It is handy. Took me all of 1 minute to put it on the loader and just as easy to take it off.

Don't care about the leaves but that is nifty for picking up bushy limbs. From the pictures I am guessing
that is a single sheet of 4 X 8 osb for the bottom of the bucket ?

I use to have a wooden bucket also as like you mentioned , flippin' leaves out the rear end around here . We would usually go around like 3 times during the fall , picking up 3 or 4 bucket loads each time . Ours was made on a 4 way pallet , like 48" wide by 54" long , thus I could pick it up with my clamp on pallet forks . After 4 years of sitting in the weather with no paint , It succumb to it's own weight dumping it on the burn pile and the majority stayed there , thus this it what I have been using the last couple of years .



Like Yours in that you can pick up limbs also . Oak limbs don't fit in mine unless cut to less than 5' long , thus for limbs , I just use my pallets forks .

Yes. It has a 5' wide by 4' long bottom

Here is the final product. It's 6 x 3 x 2 pressure treated 3/4 inch ply. The front panel is removable for quick dumping. I bolted the quick attach plate (please excuse my chalk marks...). I put one of my old tarps on the top keep the rain out, it easily rolls up/down. I took an old pallet and split it in two to be used as a stand. I ordered some thin rubber mats to line the interior bottom and sides. Tested it out with the FEL and seems to be no heavier than the original bucket.

Thx, I left it out last night with the tarp over it and the snow/ice hit... Works as advertised. I know I will most likely have some mods to add when it's got some cargo in it. May use a cable system from the top front corners to the back plate. I'll let cha know how it goes....

Last update: Rubber mat arrived the other day and here is the final product.



Been using it about two weeks now and works great! Went from 4 trips a week, down to one!

Yup those big thing sure make limb or leaf cleanup a lot easier. Used mine again yesterday cleaning up sticks and limbs from the ice storm good job on both of yours.
