Hi All,
When I decided to buy a tractor for some work around my house, this site was a huge help.
I read every thing I could, to form an opinion as to what would be a good
fit for what I needed to do. I have had my 1500D for 5 years, and with a little work it has been a GREAT tractor. I bought it in very good condition, but because I am a little fussy,
I took it apart and painted it. Tractor was purchased from Sheaffer Tractor in Dixon, Ill.
Len was, and is a great person to work with.
I wanted to share some pics

did that loader come with it? how do you like that loader? was looking for a loader for my ym2000, and thought about contacting him cuz i am in illinois.

Yes, I bought the loader from Len when I purchased the tractor.
It works very well and has been trouble free.
The bucket is quick attach, but the loader frame is not, I always leave it on.

Nice tractor! I met Len several years ago and I have a great deal of respect for him. Thanks to him, I really have no fear of buying any tractor (within reason) as it seem he can get anything for anything.
You will get many years use from that tractor.

Really nice, I like the weight added to the wheels. How did you attach them?

There is a piece of flat steel behind the weights that I used as a mounting bracket.
I welded a large nut to the center of the bracket, a piece of threaded rod thru the center
of the weights bolts to that nut. The outer area of the brackets have thru holes. The outside bolts go thru the weights, the bracket, the holes in the rims(those holes are allready there) and are secured with large washers and lock nuts on the back side of the rim. I saw this idea on line some where and kind of copyed it.
It works well, and they stay tight .
100 LBS per side
