This thing is hitting everything pretty quick. I think I even got it.

I just got an e-mail from someone I have no idea who it is. The address from where it came from is: jason_amore@llproducts.com. The subject is "Server Report". This is what the message said:

The message contains Unicode characters and has been sent as a binary attachment.

It has an attachment: document.scr

I have a strong feeling it is a virus. Maybe that new one? I tried to click the Scan and Download Attachment button (I'm using Yahoo mail) to see if their virus scanner would pick something up. It says their virus scan is temporarily unavailable. I'm going to hold on to this message a little while longer until they get their virus scanner back online. Then I will see what it says.

Btw, the file size says 31 kb.

The above was a post I made on another forum. Be careful with this one.

What you describe is exactly how I heard it behaves. I wouldn't hang on to it, I would go ahead and get rid of it before you accidentally "launch" it, but that is just me.

I had someone send me a virus today. It was "W32.NOVARG.A@mm" Fortunately, Norton caught it. Obviously, some people have nothing better to do.

Might want to point it out to yahoo they may be able to label or stop them from getting thru.

I believe that's the same thing as the mydoom. Symantec.com also has the instructions for removing it if someone gets it.

Yahoo caught all 10 of the ones I got today and sent them to my Bulk Mail folder......I saw the subject as being suspect so just deleted all of them.

I just got the virus again. It has the same message as the one I posted above. But this time the file is called test.zip. The subject is titled "Error". I got it again in my Yahoo account. But here is the weird thing - it came from an address from my ISP! I have no idea who it was, either. I don't give my Yahoo address to just anyone.

Go to www.symantec.com and there is a removal tool. The only way to get rid of it. If you have Norton Anti-Virus dated 1-26-2004 you would have been ok.. Unfortunately we had a few computers at work that didn't and I spent hours repairing.
