In talking with a friend he was telling me that he adds Mystery Oil to his Fuel and his Water Pump, so my question is, what do any of you know or think about doing this? Good, Bad, Waste of money or could this something that does help a tractors parts last longer??

no way i'd put MMO in my radiator... there are better conditioners to put in a radiator.
mmo inthe fuel or oil.. now that I have done on some machines... not sure a diesel oil needs any mmo.. though i have addes some to diesel ful, and gas, and to a gassers oil to get a lil valve cleaning prior to an oil change.
imho.. old type f atf fluid works about the same..
light oil.. some detergents..e tc..

use MMO all the time IMO it has saved me down time especially with the smaller engines(mower chainsaw etc..) Not sure I'd use it in water pump though???

same here.. forgot to mention the lawnmower.. weedeater.. etc..

It did strike me as odd that they would put MMO in their Water Pump which is why I decided to ask on the forums. Some people have Tips that they learned and been doing for years that you would never know of by just following the Manuel, some can be great others not so much, such as Back in the day when I used to Mud & tape Drywall some guys used to put Dishsoap in the compound which made it easier for them to push the mud on which seemed fine but down the road it caused problems with mold, so what seemed good wasn't!

MMO or ATF added to the fuel can help L head engines that have a problem with sticking valves. My neighbor had a 9N that had stciking valves and he ran 1 pt of ATF to a full tank of gas and claimed he never had any further problems with valves sticking. I have never had that problems so I've never tried it.

I have a 1976 Columbia sailboat with a flathead 4 cyl "Atomic 4" gasoline engine. Use MMO in the fuel and in cylinders when I winterize it in the fall. Keeps things (like valves) nice and loose!

speaking of stuck valves.. I have a 63 ( 4 cyl ) 4000 it stuck all the intakes earier this year.. bent the push rods into spaghetti.. had to cut them with bolt cutters to get them out of the head and block..
when i got her all back together I decided to go to walmart synthetic oil for that one just in case...
gotta love this new gas.. which is what i attribute the issue to.

As some others have said, I've known people to use Marvel Mystery Oil in their fuel and in their crankcase oil, but never heard of putting it in the radiator. In 1956 we had customer who had a 6 or 7 year old Ford sedan that he kept shined up and looking brand new all the time, including under the hood. And when we changed his oil, he wanted Texaco motor oil (which was a non-detergent oil; Havoline was their detergent oil) and a pint of MMO in the crankcase, which in effect gave him a detergent motor oil.

I remember those pushrods!! You oughta' try some ATF in the fuel. It's probably cheaper than MMO or the synthetic crankcase oil.
You know I hear people complain about the new gas but I can honestly say I have had no problems with it in any of our gas powered equipment including the Briggs and Stratton L head wheel line engines that sit for 9 months out of the year. I treat our ranch gas with regular Stabil when I fill up the gas drum. Our mowers runs fine, and so do the string trimmers, the TO-3, the generators, and the wheel line movers.
