Hello all,
I'm submitting this question for my neighbor who has a Yanmar 1510. He was replacing the seals (outside axle). He took the top off the rear-end and undid the c-clips and replaced the seals. When he put it all back together he discovered a small pin laying in the bottom of the rear-end. It is about 1 - 1.25 inches long. This looks kind of like an allen screw but has no threads or allen head. It is slightly tapered at the bottom. He thinks it might have somehow come from the hydro system - but definitely isn't sure. I know this is kind of vague but he described it to me over the phone. I'll try and get a picture of this thing but may not get to it today. Thanks for any help. He says he'll login after work today to see if any of you experts have some ideas.
