NAA Rear Axle Seals

I think re threading the rear axle is doable by a shade tree.. though easier done at a machine shop.

the one I saw done was re threaded to a coarse spline.

I've never done a rear, but have re threaded a front spindle.

Here are pix of the axle with a closer view of the end AND ANOTHER LOOKING AT THE CASTLE NUT. The splines are in good shape. I have tightened the castle nut just about as far as I can with a two-foot wrench, and still am a few degrees short of getting the cotter in.

Time for a 4 foot wrench.
