Tell him that the locust was green not dried. That makes all the difference in the world. If you can drive anything into dry locust it ain't. bcs /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Until I can't swing a hammer I'll be using one. If the staples bend, get slightly shorter staples. It's great exercize! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sorry, just could not resist, Like Ive never made a typo in my life /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ment on offence

I am with countyboy on this one. I use nail guns on a lot of projects, but when fencing the galvanized staples. One of the functions of the staple is that the sides drive at slighty divergent angles which makes pulling them out by pulling on the wire or post harder.

They make special set of plyers for this job, but I use these for setting and pulling the staples only, then drive them with a framing hammer.

If you can swing a sledge all day, my hat is off to you.
