No it was planted on north side of house. Seems to like the shade. Official name is Amaryllis.

I don稚 see the resemblance to naked ladies. Whoever named that flower needs to spend more time away from the garden.

Well, they are pink...which conveys a certain air of femininity...

Quite common here on the roadside and share the same name, we have quite a few in the driveway, quite attractive albeit short lived.
