- 3550 Fard Backhoe and a 1948 Farmall Cub,
I went with dad to get a 2 bottom Ferguson plow he traded his new brother inlaw out of and he had a pile of old farm junk I got to looking at two familiar casting s and an old line shaft. I got to looking and it was a set of cast steel log dogs for a sawmill carriage. I told him id give 4 cents a pound for the whole pile I done eyeballed 2 sets of coulter wheels and arms for the Fergusons in it. Whats got me is the large casting in your pic with the rollers and a pivot. Ive seen something similar and its super familiar but my head cant process it right now. The Dearborn loader would be the greatest find for now, Ive got to find 2 more now I have a fella that buys shavings from the landfill that needs a fork to muck his stalls. His neighbor has one I built the Loader boom and frame got made into a a hydraulic trailer type lift for another guy. I cant help it I love junk On my honeymoon headed to St.Augustine Amy got a little frustrated that i had to stop and take a few looks in old farm yards at Tallahassee.
