I have the JD 655 and I hitch it to a Ford 1710. It works great. It chews up the dirt well and the tractor powers it fine. If your tractor can power it I don't think you will go wrong with the JD.
Tiller Narrowed my tiller choices to 3...your thoughts?

I pulled the trigger yesterday, bought the CCM MR145 and a Pyramid landscape rake w/wheels from CCI. Even with the shipping charges the grand total came in it at about the same price as just the 50" Kuhn tiller (my early favorite) from a local guy.
JD wouldn't budge on tiller prices and TSC/KK was extremely frustrating to deal with...the manager, apparently, is the only person with a key to the equipment corral. He wasn't available during any of my 3 visits to the store. Then an employee told me that tillers are a 'rain check' item, if I didn't buy a tiller they already had on the lot they couldn't order one for me until they sold a tiller off the lot to someone else?? I've never heard of such a thing.
Anyway, the CCM and rake should be here in a week or so...just waiting for the white stuff outside to melt!
