Nasty Diesel Fuel.

So finally got some time to get out and suction some of the tank. This is what i got out with the fuel that was left in the tank. After draining alot out of the bottom but not getting nothing out. Will add new and suck it out. Looks rusty but also what is the clumps?

Looks like a little water and fuel bugs and just crap , Flush that tank out real good......

I read nothing with which I disagreed. +100 on the Mr. Funnel and there are a few decent water removing, fuel stabilizing, cetane enhancing, biocide fuel additives available.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Hope to have this running again soon! I had people telling me it is chirping. Its blown... lol Then i read online fuel issues can cause that and I think this is my issue for sure! Tired of using my shovel!! Lol

Hello, I have a 70's John Deere 300 fires right up then rough idle and dead throttle after a few minutes it stalls out. Blows alot of white smoke. Changed injectors and noticed there was alot of junk in the sediment bowl.

I am sure this would be my problem here but what exactly is this and how would i clean it all out? Taking my fuel tank would be to difficult.

You have nasty fuel but white smoke is indicative of internal issues like a cracked head, low compression and other stuff. Ever overheated it?

I "think" that tank has a filter screen built onto the shut off tap..
It might be wise to unscrew the shut off tap & have a look..??
Adding fresh fuel to bad fuel leaves u w a tank of 1/2 bad fuel.. & thats unacceptable..
removing the shut off tap should empty the tank..

Add some biocides, a little clean fuel, agitate and drain thru the bottom fuel supply fitting.reapeat till you get clean fuel.

I have read white smoke is a fuel or air issue? Hoping this does the trick. Never really had any major problems with it. Other than me not being a mechanic. Haha.. Used it daily digging out the yard. One day it just kinda stalled out and now wont stay running more then a couple minutes. So I really feel this is my problem. If it does blow up I hope it can atleast wait til i get the yards flattened lol

I will check into that also Thanks! I did drain the whole tank before. Only clean comes out. Added 5 gallons and drained maybe 3 out then stopped because it was only clean coming out.
