We spent a few hours at the National Threshers Association show at Wauseon, Ohio yesterday. This is was the 64th Annual reunion and a huge gathering of equipment and people. In addition to the steam engines and threshing equipment a few hundred tractors were on display. Allis Chalmers tractors was the featured tractor this year along with oil feild engines. I will post more pictures in the future.

Here is the address to their website.

Here is an interesting device used to measure Belt Horsepower.

The first picture is Belting Up Engine.

The second is of the Baker Prony Brake. The four prong handle is used to increase the tension on the brake which then exerts more force on the scales via the vertical post from the beam. The gentleman kneeling is calling out the RPM. Seems like they tested at 400 RPM. The other gentleman is using a calculator to convert the scale reading to Horsepower.

The third picture includes the engine and it came in at 63 Belt Horsepower.
