The PA farm show is AWFUL. The VASTLY better one is the Keystone farm show in York. It runs over the same dates.

We'd be glad to help, we regularly sell and service within a 5-6 hour drive. Your well within our service area.

People can't seem to say enough about your dealership. I will agree with the others that your videos are pretty much my go to source for tractor education as I am a total newb to all of this. Never even owned a riding mower. I figure I can drive any standard transmission, even a 3 on the column, so I'm sure I can learn to maneuver a tractor. All be it carefully at first.

The thing to watch on my property is the grade and all the dangling limbs in the trees.

I'll give you a piece of advice on driving through the woods. When I first bought our 23 acres it had some overgrown paths in the woods. I decided one day to mow them. I thought if I raised the loader up it would keep the limbs out of my face.

I was wrong!! The loader pushed about a 1" limb out of the way and when I drove past it, the limb released from the bucket and smacked me right in the eye. Fortunately, my glasses were the only thing that made contact with my eye, but it hit hard enough to give me about 20 floaters in my eye. I had to drive about 30 miles to get to the closest Opthamologist to get checked out. It took several years for all the floaters to dissolve, but only a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down and the black eye to clear up.

There are thousands of ways to hurt yourself with a tractor, just think things through before you do new tasks. And welcome to the forums. :)

I'll give another thumbs up for Messicks. I've bought two new machines from them, and had a positive experience each time. I'm about four hours away, but it was worth the drive to give them my business. They have also helped me out after the sale with parts, including providing diagrams and schematics so I could piece together a power beyond loop for my L5740, instead of buying the whole backhoe mounting kit, which I didn't need.

That is good advice. And well taken. I’m pretty cautious too. Seems like there is a 3” or better branch hanging 20’ up in every 5th tree. I’ll need to apply that same advice to the chainsaw.

Also one of the reasons I’ve been looking at grapples.

I have purchased tractors from Messicks and Timberline. If and when you decide what you want make your last stop at F&S I purchased my 1120 RTV, Herd Spreader, and just recently a Boss V plow, best prices, stand behind what they sell. They have no problem ordering unlike most dealer you get the weathered ones others have tested. They deliver free of charge. I get all my parts there. Mail order parts are convenient until you need 5 gal of SUDT. See Jim he’ll do right by you

Thank you for that. I will swing by as they are the closest to me anyway.

Good to know, I’m a three hour drive south of Messick’s in Virginia. I’ll definitely shop with you guys when the time comes to order a new Grand L.

I’ve checked with Marshall Machinery with everyone of my purchases, they are always a few thousand higher than my lowest price. I have never tried dealing with them, all the tractors sit out in a field, decals faded, paint weathered, mud on platform from others climbing on and possibly testing it. For thousands less I can get a perfect tractor out of the crate.
