Correct. This is the 5.4L engine that is affected. They built three different generations of that engine, and gen 1 is the one that spits out plugs. Gen 2 went to a two piece plug that won't spit out, but has a tendency to snap off when being removed sometimes due to excessive carbon build up at the tip. The Gen 3 version of the 5.4L doesn't suffer from either of these issues.
The 4.6L also had the same problem with plugs.
