Welcome to TBN Gus. Can't help you on the bucket forks. But I have a good friend living in your area. He is in Ontonogan. Been to the UP once. That's some beautiful country.

...is "neat" the brand of fork, or all all clamp on/chain on forks "neat"?

Anyway, I have a set of clamp on forks, that can be chained for extra security. I found I needed said extra security when I almost lost them to the active burn pile.

They're well worth having and one of the cheapest FEL attachments out there. Just remember that they're not tapered like real forks, so pallets can be a bit trickier.

I'm not an advocate of using them with logs, or forks in general for logs without a thumb or other way to secure the load. Unsecured round loads on uneven terrain make TheMadONe nervous, and give flashbacks to forklift safety training videos that end...badly.

The Neat brand or otherlike them. Not moving them on rough terrain , just picking them up to put on trailer. Always extra careful with a tractor in the woods.

Oosik - Ontonagon is about 2 hours from us. A little north and mostly west, really big snow country.

The Neat brand appear to be similar to most other clamp on forks, though the taper is weirdly the wrong way around on them.

Like I said, I like having the option for forks, though I don't find them as useful as some members who swear by theirs. For just loading a trailer I'd say a bucket fork set would work, though again the taper on the Neats is reversed, making it hard to pick anything up. I have the titans. 160$ on Amazon with free prime shipping.

I'll second (and third) the titans. I've two pair, one for each tractor, and occasionally have put all four on my M4700 for "brush gathering". I often refer to those, along with a chain to throw over the load, as my "poor man's grapple".

Like this? The chains in the front and two short pieces of flat bar were added after using the forks for some time for a self-install feature. The third picture is when they were first installed back in BC (Before Cab). The forks are fairly heavy. To install them I lay the forks on the ground and park the bucket over top of them. Then just drop the front chains into the slotted angles on the top of the bucket and curl it. To keep them in place, there's a ratchet binder that is connected to a chain bridle under the bucket with a piece of binder strap. Then a short piece of chain that comes into the slotted angle from the rear.
