I've heard some people say there should be a sanitary napkin in your first aid kit to help stop profuse bleeding. And that is a great idea. Usually rural accidents happen far from immediate help.
Well, <font color="red">Z-Medica Corp.</font> has a product called QuikClot you should know about. EMS and the military use it and , once you are trained, it can be used by just about anybody.

Thanks for the link. Not sure why our CERTS teams don't have them, other than likely cost and training but will bring up with team leaders.

I agree, it is good to revisit relevant safety information as the TBN community has grown a bunch since it was last reported about.
