RickB,
With all due respect my friend, my Montana tractor has had no more problems than a "name brand" tractor and cost me about $10,000.00 less when I bought it compared to ANY of the major name brands. Believe me, I shopped around too! In fact, it was the first tractor in the Montana line that Cody, at A Tractor in Springtown, Tx. sold and his dealer papers were completed that same day. My Montana 5740C also came equiped with hydraulic connections in the back that everyone else wanted to charge me extra for. I'll admit that the manual had/has a lot to be desired, but all in all, I'm very satisfied with my Montana 5740C and I'd buy another one. There's not one tractor manufacturer out there that puts out a "perfect" tractor, that won't have any problems. I'll also admit the Montana dealer situation isn't the best, but with the 4 cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engine mine's got compared to a 3 cylinder diesel the rest had in this horsepower, plus all the other features, it's a fine tractor and not some side off brand. I just wish there was a Montana dealer closer to me since Cody isn't a dealer anymore.
So you have zero dealer support, and a factory service manual that doesn't list the A/C charge quantity or have a temp/pressure chart. I don't have to comment on the machine itself, nor did I.
And yet the most helpful response you have so far is mine.
