Personally I would stay away from a 84" unless your buying a light duty cutter and only mowing grass. If I looked correctly your tractor is either 40 or 45 pto hp depending on transmission you have. So yes it would handle either 6 or 7' but only light duty 7'. The next question is what and where do you plan to cut? Even light brush you need a medium/light cutter and if you plan to cut alot of brush and want the cutter to last you need a real medium duty version. I'm not talking about what kingkutter and Howse call medium duty. For this look at Bush Hog BH26, Land Pride rcr2672 or rcf2772, Brown 416 etc. Of these Brown is just a tad stouter than others but really their all close. These units will handle hitting stuff up to 3" but only 1 or 2 at a time. For mostly grass go with Bush Hog 16 or others med light duty stuff. Make sure blade tip speed is 14000fpm or higher on any mower you buy as it cuts cleaner. The Howse and kingkutters are ok but to compare you need to buy a heavy Howse to compete with medium duty premium cutter like the ones I mentioned. Lastly, I would opt for a slip clutch over sheer bolt. Just easier to use in my opinion but you need to loosen it at beginning of each season to let it slip and tighten it back down. The plates will tend to fuse together over time if they don't ever move. What area do you live?
