Need a tiller...question about LandPride RTR1274

You indicated you want to go deep( 8+") and the Ansung will do it. one of the features is has is a heavy spring loaded tail gate. You can set open to have stones out the back, or very tight to help with the internal mixing and to compress the seed bed (a good thing) as you go. I don't know of any other brands that will do it. I have no problem getting a completely mixed bed.

But to each their own. Best wishes on your choice.

If I may suggest, try and rent a reverse tine and a standard rotation unit before you buy. Any big Agg rental place should have units to rent, or ask or watch your neighbors work. I have run both and quickly got tired of dust and dirt flying over me and into my tractor.

In my mind the maximum depth of any reverse tiller is the length of the tines. One you get to the shaft you're dragging dirt. A forward tille might be possibly able to go deeper since the dirt is passing through.

I haven't measured the troybilt when tilling but I think I max out no matter how many passes at the depth of the shaft.
